Paula’s
Sightline Story

I am totally blind in my left eye with not much sight remaining in my right. I also have several other health conditions which means I do tend to spend most of my time at home.

I don’t see any of my family so can get quite lonely and feel quite shut off from things.

I speak to Evie every week and we’re approaching our one year befriending anniversary. I can’t believe where the time has gone; I love our calls!

We love to chat about music; her favourite group is Take That and food is always a talking point during our conversations too. I have an air fryer and slow cooker so always like to hear Evie’s favourite recipes so I can give them a try.

I really feel like I have something worthwhile in my life with the calls Sightline provides.

I haven’t any friends or family so my cleaner and Evie, my Sightline telephone befriender are the only people I am close to.

I really appreciate Sightline’s telephone befriending service and would be quite worried for my mental health should the service ever stop.
