Sightline has been fortunate to be the beneficiary of donations in lieu of the late Eleanor Ridgeway, a former valued volunteer at Sightline. We are very grateful to Eleanor’s family for arranging these donations to the sum of £770.63.
Eleanor was a long-standing volunteer with the charity, and we are so grateful to receive such a generous amount from Eleanor’s friends and family.
This money will be used to help us continue to reach as many lonely and isolated visually impaired people as possible, in accessing our telephone befriending service.
Eleanor’s sister says: “Eleanor volunteered for Sightline, so we thought she’d be happy with a choice to donate to the charity.”

We rely on the receipt of grants, legacies and other fundraising. Support like this can make a huge difference to any charity, but particularly to small charities like ours.
Please get in touch if you would like to know more about legacy giving or any other way you may be able to offer your support.
A legacy gift isn’t just a donation. It’s a light that keeps guiding people through life’s challenges, long after we say goodbye.
