We have started a Friends of Sightline scheme that anyone can join to help the charity continue to provide telephone befriending for visually impaired people throughout England & Wales.

Providing the Sightline service means that a visually impaired person can receive 52 phone calls each year!  That is an amazing amount of support from our dedicated volunteers.

We rely on grants from various organisations to operate and the fundraising landscape is changing. As a result, these grants are getting harder to secure, so that is why we developed a scheme whereby donors may make a regular donation to the charity.

It costs approximately £100,000 each year to run the charity.

The aim is to collect regular donations each month via a bank standing order that can be simply set up by completing this form and returning it to us or by contacting us on 0800 587 2252.

By being a Friend of Sightline, this means we may also benefit from a 25% increase through Gift Aid, if applicable.  This will be at no extra cost to you.

Every penny will be used to ensure we help reduce the isolation many people feel and help improve their well-being.  We have so many wonderful Sightline Stories that highlight the importance of our telephone befriending service. You can read them here.

If you are interested in becoming a Friend of Sightline, we’d love to hear from you.
